Contingent upon the availability of funds, the West Central Florida Area Agency on Aging, Inc. is soliciting applications for American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) senior nutrition services. Services will include congregate and home delivered meals provided to persons age 60 and older who reside in Hardee, Highlands, Hillsborough, Manatee, and Polk Counties. ARRA funding is intended to serve seniors who are not currently receiving nutrition services under any other funding source. The anticipated contract period is June 1, 2009 through September 30, 2010. Applicants must have a history of providing congregate and home delivered meals to seniors on a county-wide basis. Transportation for seniors to congregate meal sites must be provided from other funding sources.
Qualified organizations may obtain an application at the office of the West Central Florida Area Agency on Aging, located at 5905 Breckenridge Parkway, Suite F, Tampa, 33610-4239, beginning April 27, 2009 at 9:00 a.m. The application is also available for download here by completing the fields below and clicking SEND. Sealed applications must be submitted to the West Central Florida Area Agency on Aging, Inc. by 3:00 p.m. on May 11, 2009.
